crescendo please, maestro

this is my favourite one of the ducklings - all nine of them are here

i was getting up off my belly, ready to leave the poor mama and her little ones in peace, when i captured one last shot of the group - i'm so glad i did

actually, this is one my favourites of all the photos i have ever taken - ever

After taking a break for our family to entertain swine flu - yes, each of us, staggered out - I am feeling somewhat better and back working on creative ventures. That means writing and photography, so I'll try to find a balance between the two.

What a shot, Bridget! I think this is my favourite of the series... I love the colour combination going on: green, blue and yellow - you've done a fab job and I hope you'll be framing one of these! Bravo.

@Sarah: thank you, Sarah - it was already my favourite, and i enjoy reading what you like about a shot - it helps me see more of it, if that makes sense (?) i have been meaning to frame this one, basically since i took it - seeing it again (and all the positive feedback!) is a great prompt

@Susan: thank you, Susan - it was the usual challenge of wanting a tight shot, and wanting to get everyone in it - yep, it worked out pretty darn well this time - i like the way the light almost glows on them

@Alun: thank you, Alun. now that i look at it more, and remember taking it, i think what got them all looking in my direction was that i had just moved to get up and they noticed; i had started being just part of the background for them; made for the photo i was looking for (but didn't know it yet)
